THE DETAILS

: • PROTECTION
Waterproof, tough & durable.

• LABELLING
'Cut here to reuse' instructions are printed along the seal. Larger sizes have two seals to facilitate re-use.

• OPACITY
Black mailers are totally opaque. All other colours are slightly transparent. The lighter the colour, the more transparent.

• SIZES & SEALS
Seal with a fold-over flap and a peel-and-seal adhesive strip. Check the Sizing Guide for thickness and seals.

• SHELF LIFE
No shelf life limitations. These will last for years, especially if kept away from the sun.

• All aspects of the plastic collection process are tracked by mobile-phone-enabled, block chain technology.

We offset any carbon emission from this already low energy production process.

• BSCI CERTIFIED production facilities
: • This packaging is designed to be recycled with soft plastics, however in Australia, the REDcycle scheme is currently not operational. Industry is working hard to create new recycling solutions, but in the meantime, Australian customers are advised to dispose of this packaging in the landfill bin.

• While this is far from ideal, rest assured that a managed landfill is a far better place for this packaging than where it was before it was recycled into POLLLAST!C - abandoned and polluting the natural environment.

An estimated 8-12 million tonnes of plastic enters our oceans every year and this is expected to triple by 2040.

Over 70% of that plastic enters oceans via land and over 80% of that comes from Asia. That's why we focus our collection efforts in Southeast Asian coastal communities.

ALLEVIATING POVERTY

Pollution and poverty are often inextricably linked – and waste management infrastructure is often non-existent in these communities.

Plastic rubbish is usually littered, burnt or buried (in piles for livestock and dogs to ferret in). If instead we can provide an economic incentive for people to pick it up and collect it, we can stop it from entering the ocean.
