THE DETAILS

: • PROTECTION
Designed to protect your garments, these bags do not leech anything onto their contents. NOT suitable as a mailing satchel.

• SIZES, SEALS & DESIGNS
Seal with a fold-over flap and a peel-and-seal resealable adhesive strip.
Check the Sizing Guide for thickness, seals and design differences.
The pillowcase design does not have an adhesive strip.

• TRANSPARENCY
Slightly milky in colour but transparent enough to read barcodes through.

• SHELF LIFE
Technically our comPOLY garment bags have a shelf life of 10 months, however, this is only applicable when the bags are exposed to light, heat and moisture. If they are kept sealed in boxes, in a cool warehouse for example, they will not start to degrade for at least a year. It is only when they are exposed to the elements that they will start to break down.

• MANUFACTURING IN ASIA?
If you need these bags at your point of manufacture in Asia, please select 'Rest of World' as your shipping country (in the top right of this page) and they will be sent directly from our distribution centre in China.
: • Made from completely biodegradable and compostable materials; corn starch, PLA (synthesised from corn) and PBAT (Polybutyrate Adipate Terephthalate).

• This combination of materials is non-toxic and contains no Phthalate or Bisphenol A (BPA).

• Certified free of GMO material.

• While these materials are biodegradable and compostable, they are not 100% renewable as the PBAT component is derived from petroleum-based materials. We are limited at the moment by the availability of suitable, sustainable raw materials that deliver the barrier and performance properties we need but are always testing resins made from an even greater amount of plant-based material – exciting times!
: • CARBON NEUTRAL
We offset any carbon emission from this already low energy production process.

• Production uses approx. 30% renewable energy.
: • Here for a good time, not a long time, these poly bags will biodegrade in a home compost in 3-6 months and even quicker in a commercial composting facility.

• Safe for worms, worm farms and bokashi bins.

• Any remaining self-seal strips and labels (unless specified as compostable) should be removed before composting.
